Creating a gallery wall where multiple artworks are displayed is a great way of unleashing your creativity; but where do you start?

A gallery wall that just works showcases a body of work that stand out both individually and as a collection. Don’t get intimidated by what seems like a challenging task, the process of planning and thinking that goes into it can be exciting and fun. What is great about gallery walls is that there are multiple ways of displaying. You can bring in your own style and your own visual preference to it. There are just SO many options!

Plan ahead

Start by taking pictures of the space and identify empty areas that you wish to fill with art. Once you have the area measured, think about is the possible number of pieces and their size. Aesthetics

This is where your personal style comes in. You can decide to stick to one palette with black or white frames, or you might choose a theme to tell a story. There are no wrong answers. Below are some examples of elements you can incorporate in your design.

You can choose to incorporate artworks that portray a specific theme such as landscapes, or people

Another thing you can do is stick to one specific medium, you can go for all photos, acrylics or like the picture below shows, watercolor.

And finally, don’t be afraid to go wild and free and incorporate more artworks as you go!
